VBS WAS A HIT! This year our theme was the Rainforest with teachings on the parables of Jesus. We had 30 children attend. What a wonderful group they were, and there was good attendance all week. Everyone seemed to enjoy the program and learning about Jesus. Many thanks to all who helped out this year: the teachers & their aides, decorators, cooks and bakers, general helpers, and everyone else who in any way supported VBS. We also appreciate all of your prayers and financial support. We went from having 5 children registered a week before VBS to 30 that showed up! They just kept on arriving and we were thrilled! On Friday, we had a large turnout with parents and guests for the closing program. A light supper and fellowship were enjoyed by all. The ice cream truck came and the children were so excited. We have decided that in 2011 we are going to keep the same period and host Vacation Bible School around the 3rd week of July. We were most pleased to have consistent attendance at the adult class. The curriculum lined up nicely with what the children were learning in their classes. Once again many thanks to those who helped out in any which way, there are just too many to mention by name.
